ICT Minister: Independence-seeking, national unity cornerstones of overcoming threats
The Minister of Information and Communications Technology Seyed Sattar Hashemi lauded the National Day of Struggle Against Global Arrogance as a reminder of the Iranian nation’s resistance against the domination and interference of foreign powers.
In a message to commemorate the occasion, he stressed the need to safeguard independence, solidarity, and reliance on national capabilities.
The full text of the ICT Minister’s message is as follows:
“In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
The 13th of Aban (November 4) is a reminder of the Iranian nation’s resistance against the domination, excessive demands, and interference of foreign powers, and a symbol of a nation’s determination to shape its own destiny.
The martyred Leader of the Revolution, emphasizing the importance of this historic day, had stated: “Aban 13 must remain in history and in the national memory.”
This emphasis reflects the fact that the 13th of Aban is not merely a reminder of a historical event; rather, it carries a living message about independence, national dignity, and the Iranian nation’s right to make decisions about its own destiny.
Today, under circumstances in which the country continues to face confrontation and conflict with the United States of America, the message of 13 Aban takes on an even deeper significance. Iran’s historical experience has demonstrated that pressure, threats, and the imposition of foreign will cannot shake the resolve of a nation that stands firm in defense of its independence and rights. What is fundamentally important along this path is reliance on national capabilities, maintaining vigilance, and safeguarding the country’s interests and national priorities.
Under such circumstances, national solidarity and cohesion constitute a strategic asset for overcoming difficulties and confronting threats. Today, more than ever, strengthening trust and mutual understanding within society, and placing national interests at the center of everyone’s attention, is an undeniable necessity.
While commemorating the memory of the martyrs who gave their lives for Iran’s independence and dignity, I mark the arrival of 13 Aban, the National Day of Struggle Against Global Arrogance, and hope that, through reliance on collective will, solidarity, and national self-confidence, the path toward the pride and strength of our beloved Iran will continue with steadfastness.
Seyed Sattar Hashemi Minister of Information and Communications Technology”
